This week in lab we worked more with land use and classifying. I really struggled with this lab. I felt like I kept over thinking it, especially when it came to using the growing properties. Once I got past that, it got a lot simpler with merging and recoding.
In this map, we were asked to classify agriculture, water, road, grass, mixed forest, deciduous forest, fallow fields, and urban areas. I really thought I did well when I saw the distance map. Nothing really stood out, but then I saw the examples and I think I over classified and threw everything off. I picked the colors based on how they would naturally look. I added my essential map elements and a little image of the distance map. I also just realized I didn't turn off the legend title.
